The TLM provide s target acquisition, observation and location functions as well as mounting and control interfaces for the LDM. The LDM provides a coded designator signal that is used to highlight a target for destruction by laser-guided precision munitions. The design of the LLDR system is proprietary to NGLS. No other source can provide an LLDR system that meets the Government's requirements without duplication of development, testing and manufacturing facility costs or without exceedin g the required commencement of deliveries by March 2005.
