Description: Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate with BAE SYSTEMS, Information and Electronics Systems Integration Inc., (BAE SYSTEMS), 300 Robbins Lane, Syosset, NY 11791, for procurement of replenishments for the F/A-18 Advanced Tactical Reconnaissance System (ATARS). BAE SYSTEMS is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer for ATARS. As such, they are the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge, experience, and special tooling required to provide the necessary testing. The award is expected to be July 2004. The modification will be issued under contract N00019-04-C-0009. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
