Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations for: Induction unit/power supply (1 Each) Remote Heat Station (1 Each) Remote Pendant Station (1 Each) Shipping and Crating Charges (1 Each) Minimum Property Requirements for Induction Unit/Power Supply: 1. Capable of continuous and reliable delivery of 7.5 kW of induction power at work coil. 2. Equipment must be Micro-Processor Controlled and all solid state ? No vacuum tubes. 3. Power supply must have a synthesized digital frequency control that continuously tunes to the resonant frequency to optimize efficient part heating in < 20 milliseconds. 4. The power supply will be able to tune at a peak resonance over the range of 50-485 kHz. 5. Minimum safety requirements: equipment must have ground fault detection to shut off RF power when a connection between the coil and earth ground is detected. Work coil and all I/O must be fully isolated from ground. 6. Power supply must be capable of controlling multiple heat stations with work coils. 7. The power supply shall have an RS 422/485 communications port. 8. Due to space limitations, maximum size of the unit shall be 20? wide, 26? deep, and 32? tall. 9. The power supply shall have low RF emissions and comply with US NFPA 79, and UL 1012 regulations. ALL PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO ANY AWARD OF A CONTRACT OR PURCHASE ORDER. REGISTER AT; http://www/ccr.gov OR BY CALLING 888-227-2433. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 01-21. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 333298 AND 500 EMPLOYEES respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by noon of 4/20/04 and should be faxed to 216-433-2480 and must include, solicitation number, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Offerors are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://server-mpo.arc.nasa.gov/Services/NEFS/NEFSHome.tml If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall list the country of origin. Selection and award will be made to that offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government, with consideration given to the factors of proposed technical merit, price, and past performance. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer. (SEE FAR 52.212-1(b)). Offerors must include completed copies of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with their offer.
