- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific, Alameda, CA, proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USCGC SHERMAN (WHEC 720), a 378? high endurance cutter, homeported in Alameda, CA. A geographical restriction is applicable for this requirement. All work shall be at the contractor?s facility during the period of 22 September 2004 through 16 November 2004. Work items to include: production control GANTT Bar chart; appendages (underwater) leak test; hull plating, underwater body inspect; hull plating underwater body ultrasonic testing; voids (non-accessible) leak test; potable water tank manhole cover ring replace; tanks (MP fuel service) clean and inspect; tanks (aviation fuel service) clean and inspect; tanks (aviation fuel stowage) clean and inspect; propulsion shaft coating renewal; propulsion shaft fairwater and rope guards inspect & repair; Propulsion shaft seals, mechanical overhaul & inflatable renewal; propulsion shafting removal, inspection and maintenance; propulsion shaft bearings (external) check clearances; controllable pitch propeller system general maintenance; CPP hub seals & O-rings renewal/replace; propeller clean & inspect; SSDG vibration mount renewal; fathometer transducers general maintenance; fuel overflow check valves (MP) inspect and repair; main gas turbine (MGT) exhaust uptake lagging & MGT exhaust expansion joint gasket renewal; sea strainers (all sizes) overhaul; sea valve (<=2.5 inches) renewal; sea valve (>2.5 inches) overhaul; magazine sprinkler valves (>=2.5 inches) overhaul; fuel oil manifold valve overhaul; fuel oil pipe renew; rudder stock bearings check clearances; rudder stocks and liners inspect and repair; rudder inspect and repair; thruster unit (general) overhaul; thruster unit hydraulic accumulators inspect and hydrotesr; anchor chain and ground tackle inspect and repair; anchor windlass levels 2 inspection and test; crescent davit (GEN) Level 2 inspect & repair; bilges preserve; tanks (potable water) preseve partial; mast preserve, partial; hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial; hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial; hull plating, freeboard preserve; cathodic protection, zinc anode renewal; temporary service, drydock provide; drydock; drydocking accomplish; sea trials.
