Description

THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO U.S. AND CANADIAN FIRMS. NSN: 1005-01-394-1928, Part Number 12597070. The item to procure is a Trigger, Housing Assembly for the M240E1 Machine Gun. Due to the terms and conditions of the M240 license agreement, this solicitation is restricted to U.S. and Canadian firms. The Tr igger, Housing Assembly consists of numerous parts formed and machined to close tolerance from sheet metal 1010, aluminum alloy bar, 2014-T6 and plastic, polyamide rogid per Spec L-P-410. The assembled part is approximate size is 9.94in X 4.7in X 2.3in. Carc primer and anodize required. ISO 9001:2000, tailored by excluding paragraph 7.3 is required. Heavy phosphate coating is required IAW MIL-DTL-16232. FOB is Origin. The proposed contract will be a 3-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDI Q), with an estimated guaranteed minimum quantity of 500 each. Estimated issue date is 30 April 2004. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY 04 requirement. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided vi a the Internet. Vendors, who need this TDP in order to prepare a proposal, are instructed to complete the Non-Disclosure Agreement provided as an attachment to the solicitation and email it to mcgregors@ria.army.mil or fax it to (309) 782-0241. This agre ement must be completed before the TDP will be sent. Any said requests should contain the following information: CAGE Code (if available), company name, point of contact, street address, city, state, zip code, and telephone number. A TDP will be provide d by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the Internet and the Non-Disclosure Agreement has been executed. A License Agreement between FN Herstal and the U.S. Government requires the items procured to be manufactured exclusively within the U.S. and Canada. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hard copies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the follo wing address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as well as any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Note 26 applies.
