Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for elevation site survey, excavating gravel surface and repaving with concrete a leased lot which is currently utilized as a hangar with a weatherport for aircraft in Galena, Alaska. Services includes shipping of building material and concrete that will be barged in. This announcement constitutes sole source solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued in accordance with note 2. 701814Q027 is issued as a sole source request for quotation. This acquisition and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-19. The following services will be procured from Wilder Construction, 11301 Lang Street, Anchorage, AK 99515 due to Wilder Construction currently has been contracted with the State of Alaska for paving services in Galena, Alaska and has their paving equipment and personnel to do these type of services already in Galena, Alaska. It is felt that awarding this to Wilder Construction, in that the equipment and building supplies are already in Galena, Alaska, it would be more advantageous and more economical to the US Government and the taxpayer to award as a sole source instead of advertising and awarding to a company that would have to deploy their equipment and personnel, not to mention the time and money it would take to solicit a new vendor. Also, time is of the essence in that the concrete pad must be completed if possible by June 30, 2004. The following provisions 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial items apply to this acquisition. A completed copy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items must be included with the offer. The following clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial items applies to this order. Offers due by 2 pm 04/21/2004 by fax only at 9077863923. Contact Dennis J. Hermannes by fax only.
