- Description
- Notice of intent to contract on a competitive basis. The Installation Energy Commodity Business Unit (CBU) of the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) anticipates soliciting direct supply natural gas (NSN: 6830-01-318-5797 / NAICS: 211111) for delivery to various Department of Defense installations in the Northeast and Central regions of the United States. States in these regions include, but are not limited to, Illinois, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. This effort reflects a 12 month delivery period commencing on 01 October 2004. The source selection for this effort will be a best value, full and open competition. Contract(s) awarded as a result of this solicitation will be Requirements type reflecting a pricing arrangement of Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on FedBizOpps and at www.desc.dla.mil. Questions regarding this acquisition should be directed to the Contracting Officer in writing to elizabeth.braxton@dla.mil. This synopsis is for information purposes only; it does not constitute an RFP and does not commit the Government to pay for proposal preparation costs. Information herein is based on the best knowledge available at the time of publication, is subject to revision, and is not binding on the Government. The RFP will be released 10 days or more from the date of this notice. A proposal will be due on or about 30 days after RFP release.
