Description

From Lakeview ? proceed west on State Highway 140 for 3 miles. Turn right onto county road 2-16 and proceed north5-1/2 miles to county road 2-16A. Turn left and proceed westerly for 3 miles to Forest Service Road 28 (paved). Continue straight on road 28 north-westerly 16 miles to Forest Service Road 3428 (gravel) at Dairy Point Campground. Continue on road 3428westerly for 6 miles to the Dairy Creek Arch construction site. This is approximately ? mile east of the junction with Forest Service Road 34 (paved). The site is in T 36 X, R 17 E, Section 5. The project consists of installing dewatering pipes and then removing one large structural plate pipe arch approximately 11? span x 13? high x 120? long and replacing it with a 26? x 13? x 128? long galvanized steel structural plate bottomless arch set on construction on site concrete footings. Work includes dewatering, excavation, backfill & compaction, hauling water material to a designated site, finishing the disturbed roadbed with crushed aggregate and riprap headwall placement on the fill slopes at the inlet & outlet ends of the arch. All crushed aggregate & riprap is currently available in existing pit. This will be a Hubzone set-aside. The Government?s estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000.
