- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are requested. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This Solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) 04-866-2055 under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-22, April 5, 2004. This is a BRAND NAME requirement for Amerex Industries 22-ounce fiberglass filter bags with Tetratec Membrane, Amerex Design Number 6 or equal. The filter bags are required for the Flue Gas Cleaning System, manufactured by Amerex Industries. Equivalent filter bags should meet or exceed the following specifications: (1) Diameter of six (6) inches; (2) Length of 175.5 inches; (3) Must have a top skirt and bottom wear cuff and a double disk bottom; (4) Must be usable with a removable venturi system configuration. **** The Contract Line Item Number(CLIN)0001, Quantity of 1,600, Amerex D6 or equivalent 22 ounce fiberglass filter bag with Tetratec membrane. *** Delivery shall be FOB destination to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), 100 Bureau Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20899. **** To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Information on CCR registration procedures may be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov. In order to complete CCR registration, a DUNS number is required. To obtain a DUNS Number, contact Dun & Bradstreet, Inc., at 1-866-705-5711 or 610-882-7000. ****Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quotation conforming to this synopsis/solicitation offers the best value to the Government. The Government will evaluate quotations based on Technical Acceptability and Price. Technical Acceptability is more important than Price. Evaluation of Technical Acceptability shall be based on the information provided and value indicators that clearly document that the offered product meets or exceeds the specifications stated herein.
