Description

This requirement is for approximately 125,000 gallons of paint stripping compound used to chemically clean metal surfaces, such as vehicle components, subassemblies and hardware. Paint stripping is a process of removing coatings from components such that the component can be worked in accordance with the applicable overhaul inspection procedure (OIP) and/or reclamation procedure. Coatings are removed due to failure, contamination, and corrosion and in may cases to facilitate inspection(nondestructiv e testing) and repair. This contract is a base and four options and is sole ??????source procurement to Penetone Corporation, 700 Gotham Parkway, Carlstadt, NJ 07072-2407. Only government approved vendors may be considered in future procurements. North American Industry Classification System is 325510. Size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued electronically to Penetone Corporation in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore hard copies will not be provi ded. Electronic copy may download it by accessing the following address via the internet:http://www.procnet.anad.army.mil (Doing Business with Us). Estimated issued date is 30 April 04. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will a ny amendents thereto. Because of this , the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render bid or proposal non responsive and result in the rejections of same.
