Description

Selfridge Air National Guard Base (ANGB) intends to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT with Gerace Construction Company, Inc. from Midland, Michigan for the replacement of BAK-12 panels. Selfridge ANGB is located in Harrison Township, Mac omb County, Michigan. The sole source authority is FAR 6.302-1 – Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies Will Satisfy Agency Requirements based on a Sources Sought posted on 6 Feb 2004. The Replace BAK-12 Panels project includes precise conc rete work as described in the Description of Work: This project provides for the plant, labor, materials, equipment and supervision with incidental services necessary to install Government provided ultra high molecular weight (UHMW) polyethylene panels un der aircraft arresting system cables at Selfridge A.N.G. Base, Michigan. The work includes, but is not limited to: Install UHMW panels and replace ancillary bracketing and redo the tie-down bowls for aircraft arresting system cable at two locations, North and South ends of Runway 01/19. Contractor must correct conditions of existing anchor bowls. Bowls are incorrect size (they are larger than 4” diameter) and some are incorrectly located. Provide pre-construction drawings to Base Contracting that show correct tie-down bowl size and locations. The order of listing does not imply any significance and is included herein for general information only. Contractor is responsible for form, fit and function of UHMW panel replacement and to provide the needed qua ntities of material. Weekend work may be utilized as a benefit to the Government. The contractor may be required to install barricades to control access to areas closed for painting. The applicable NAICS is 237310. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) is Z124, maintenance, repair or alteration/airport runways. The small business standard is $28.5M. Project magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Numbered note 22 applies.
