Description

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. What is the interface and speed that I will be recording? ANSWER: Recording speed is stated in the synopsis. 62.5 Megabytes per second. (640 X 512, 100 frames per second) clock speed 40 MHZ? 2. What type and pin out will the interface connector be? ANSWER: The interfaces are LVDS and camera link. Don't know exactly what kind of connectors are on the camera. Whatever connector type is chosen for the DAS side, it's mating connector part # should be supplied. 3. Is there a weight limitation? ANSWER: No weight limitation but lighter is better. 4. What is the operating system and configurations of the computers in the camera interface? ANSWER: Communication with the cameras is via RS-232 or Gigabit Ethernet. 5. Is there a block diagram available? ANSWER: No. 6. What is the file format required? ANSWER: Data can be recorded in any format but must be able to be converted to the Air Force's Standard Archive Format (SAF) 7. Will the data be recorded RAW or with NUC correction ANSWER: Raw. 8. How do you want the time (IRIG/gps) recorded and formatted? ANSWER: IRIG time isn't a requirement (every frame is time-tagged coming out of the camera head) but an IRIG card within the data acquisition system (DAS) is preferable but not required. If the DAS does include an IRIG card, it should be one that is compatible with Rtools.
