Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of contractors to provide construction services to include all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment and transportation required to remove and replace the existing fan screen assembly with an all fiberglass assembly, install fiberglass walkway in cells, provide a ladder for access to the gearbox and make the entire assembly completed and ready for use. All work will be performed in five (5) towers. This procurement will be for commercial item services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. All potential contractors will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about May 3, 2004, with proposals due within thirty (30) days or less. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 236220 and the size standard is $28.5M. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. NO telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
