Description

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Isis Therapeutics, to continue ongoing development of Informational Databases on Microbial Agents for Law Enforcement Use. The program is for information management and a database of biological threat agents, their DNA sequences, and effects that can be used by law enforcement officials to confer deterrence and support forensic investigations. This follow on contract award will be to further the development of the system by increasing the information on a large number of biological agents, adding biological toxin information, and additional organisms in order to allow a complete survey of microbial threat agent information.
