Description
This solicitation is being issued as Intent to Award on a sole source basis to The University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, Center for Research in Security Prices, 725 South Wells Street, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60607 for the purchase of U.S. stock databases on CD ROM that provide U.S. stock prices, volume and return data on common stocks listed on NYSE, AMEX, and Nasdaq, with basic market indices in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition Procedures. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires databases that provide U.S. stock prices, volume and return data on common stocks listed on NYSE, AMEX and Nasdaq, with basic market indices. Services received from CRSP include 0001. US Indices Database?monthly and annual index frequencies; market indices shall include the number of companies and weight at the rebalancing point, total return and index level, capital appreciation return and index level, and income return and index level. Shall be delivered annually. 0002. US Stock Database?common stock issues listed on NYSE, AMEX and the NASDAQ Stock Market; security level historical descriptive information and market data; price, volume, return, distribution and name history data; end-of-day and month-end data. History data shall be as follows: a. NYSE?monthly data to begin December 1925, daily July 1962 b. AMEX?monthly and daily data to begin July 1962 c. NASDAQ?monthly and daily data to begin December 14, 1972 d. These data shall be updated monthly. 0003. US Treasury Database?shall include over 1.6 million end-of-day price observations for 3,350 US Treasury bills, notes, and bonds, since June 14, 1961, and over 101,500 prices for 5,300 month-end issues since 1925. Prices, returns, accrued interest, yields and durations data for US Treasury bills, notes, and bonds; shall be delivered annually. 0004. CRSP/Compustat Merged Database (CCM)?CRSP data contain security level historical descriptive information and market data on more than 20,000 stocks (inactive and active companies) from the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ markets. Compustat data contain more than 335 annual and 135 quarterly income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and supplemental data items, as well as 300 financial ratios on active and inactive companies. The merged database provides side-by-side access to CRSP?s stock data and Compustat?s fundamental data. CRSP Link maps CRSP?s permanent, unique identifiers, PERMNO ? (permanent issue identification number) and PERMCO (permanent company identification number), with Compustat?s permanent, unique company identifier, GFKEY.0005. CRSP Survivor-Bias Free US Mutual Fund Database (January 1, 1962-present)?includes the following: a. Tracks only open-ended funds (traced principally for equity funds, taxable and municipal bond funds, international funds, and money market funds) b. a record of each mutual fund entity?s name history c. annual mutual fund attributes d. monthly returns e. monthly total net assets f. monthly/daily net asset values per share g. monthly distributions h. Date the fund began trading i. Date the fund ended trading j. Name of the fund into which a dead fund merged (where applicable) Interested parties are advised that no solicitation is available for this acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or to submit a capability statement. The period of performance shall be for one base year and four option years. Accordingly the SEC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, The University of Chicago,Graduate School of Business, Center for Research of Security Prices.
