- The purpose of this modification is to answer questions from potential offerors and to provide revised specifications which are available at http://heron.nrl.navy.mil/contracts/RFP/04jr06.htm. Question 1: How many are required? Answer 1: One (1). Question 2: Is the RFP a Small Business Set-A-side? Answer 2: No, This is an unrestricted, full and open procurement. Question 3: What is the budget goal for this synthesizer? Answer 3: Budgetary data not available to offerors at this time. Question 4: Can the delivery date be changed to allow four to six months for development delivery after receipt of order? Answer 4: No. Question 5: Are the frequencies used in discreet pairs with 692.75 Mhz with 1376.25 Mhz? Answer 5: No. The 692.75 may be used with 1453.125, etc. Unit must always put out one UHF and one L-band tone, selectable by TTL control. Question 6: Is the phase noise defined between the two? Answer 6: No, just with respect to reference. Question 7: Dose a single assembly have to output 692.75 Mhz and 1376.25 Mhz or can the chassis be built in fixed pairs? Answer 7: The two outputs are 692.75 Mhz or 769.25 Mhz and 1376.25 Mhz or 1453.125 Mhz, independently user selectable. Question 8: What is the temperature environment and typical location? Answer 8: Typical temperature range of 50 to 100 F. Question 9: What is the operational vibration environment? Answer 9: Small aircraft, prop driven. No vibration isolation provided in rack. Question 10: What is the start up time and time to lock requirement? Answer 10: 10 minutes. Question 11: Is the power from 110V AC? Answer 11: Yes. 60 Hz. Question 12: Are there any spurious output specifications? Answer 12: negative 90dBc out to plus or minus 50Mhz. Question 13: What are the output levels? Answer 13: 0 to plus 6 dBm, adjustable. Question 14: What are the input levels? Answer 14: 0 to plus 6 dBm from any of the three references. Question 15: What is the I/O format on 9 pin DB? Answer 15: Pin 1: UHF Select ((High equal 796.25 equal default), Pin5: Lband Select (High equal 1453.125 equal default), Pin6: Ground, Pin9: Ground. Cable uses DB9S, unit shall be DB9P. Question 16: What is the isolation between low and high frequency requirements? Answer 16: 60 dB.
