Description
DTCG87-04-B-643099 - Construct Temporary USCG Maritime Safety & Security Team (MSST) Facility at the Port of Anchorage, Alaska. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, transportation and incidentals necessary to renovate the existing building and provide a complete and fully functional MSST facility. The work includes, but is not limited to: Demolish selected interior walls, ceilings, and finishes, including mechanical and electrical systems. Demolition will include removing surfaces covered with lead based paint, and cutting and patching asbestos containing materials; Perform limited trench work for below grade utilities; Perform structural concrete slab-on-grade work for placement of prefabricated storage units and utility structures; Install new light gauge metal framing and limited structural steel for new interior partitions; Perform steel fabrication for stairways and railings; Install new light frame lumber framing for new interior floors/partitions/ceilings; Install trims and countertops; Install building insulation and sound batt; Modify metal wall panel sections; Install new metal wall panels, translucent wall panels, flashing, and sealants; Provide/replace new steel doors, frames, glazing, and door hardware; Install gypsum board walls and ceilings, including fire rated assemblies; Install replacement/new flooring and wall base; Paint interior spaces; Provide and install lockers, fire extinguishers, toilet compartments, shower stalls, and associated accessories; Provide and install limited office furnishings; Relocate various sprinkler head locations; Extend and provide new sprinkler system coverage for new construction; Install fire alarm system for new construction; Demolish selected existing mechanical systems; Modify building hot/cold domestic water piping; Provide limited number of new plumbing fixtures; Modify existing hydronic heating system including the installation of new zone(s); Install air handling units and ventilation fans and associated ductwork; Replace gas-fired boiler; Test and balance systems as necessary; Demolish selected existing electrical systems; Provide new sub panels and secondary distribution transformer; Route conduit and conductors to new construction; Modify conduit, conductors, and fixtures in existing construction; Provide/replace new lighting; Provide limited number of new motors and motor controllers; Provide conduits, cableways, and other raceways for installation of telecommunication systems by others; Install intrusion detection system (security). A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Monday, May 3, 2004. Information on the site visit will be provided in the solicitation. Estimated start of work is early June 2004. The required final completion date is no later than 30 September 2004, with various portions of the project having earlier required completion dates. This project is extremely time critical. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236210 and the applicable size standard is $28.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Prospective bidders are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time of bid opening. The technical data package (specifications and drawings) will be available through a link in FedBizOpps to the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) website. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FedTeDS database to be able to access the technical data package. A planholders list will not be available for this project from CEU-Juneau.
