Description
The South Texas Veterans Healthcare System has a requirement for Optometry and Opthalmology Services for Outpatient Clinics in the Lower Rio Grande Valley (McAllen, Laredo, and Victoria areas) for the period of a base year plus (2) one year options for renewal. Services shall include, comprehensive and immediate treatment for new patient and established patients. Ophthalmologic services shall consist of medical examination, and evaluation with initiation of diagnostic and treatment program. Services to be performed at contractor's establishments. The Government intends to make a single award to the most highly qualified offeror; however, reserves the right to make multiple awards. This solicitation is issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.102(a). This solicitation is prepared in the commercial item format and is consistent with FAR Part's 2 and 12. North American Industry Classification System 621320 applies. The small business size standard is 6.0 million. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions therefore; the offeror's initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a price and technical standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. All responsible sources may submit an offer. Facsimile and telephonic requests are not acceptable. Offeror's must use the electronic medium outlined above. Offers should be submitted to the address listed on page 1 of the solicitation. Amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at this URL. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments, signing up for bidders list in FedBizOpps will automatically electronically notify you of any amendments to this solicitation. Offerors are also reminded to ensure all evaluation factors are addressed as outlined in FAR 52.212-2 and registration on www.ccr.gov database is required to be completed prior to award.
