Description
The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate Questions and Answers (Qs and As)to this combined synopsis solicitation as follows: Q #1. We intend on submitting 2 main parachute designs. We immediately need 2 each of the following for interface verification: Deployment bag, ATPS Universal Static line Pack Tray, ATPS Harness, ATPS Instructions for closing pack, ATPS Q #2. Verification regarding type and specifications of hardware used to connect the riser to the ATPS harness. A # 1 and # 2. No GFE will be provided prior to performance evaluation conducted at Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG), AZ. Synopsis lines 15-17 states, ATPS components will be supplied by the government at YPG . At that time interface/integration will be investig ated. The Government has no intent to drop the proposed main canopy with ATPS components during technical evaluation. Q #3. Will offerors be able to have more than two personnel supporting the tests at YPG? A #3. Offeror's may have two personnel per canopy submitted with proposal for the purpose stated in Synopsis, lines 13-15. Q #4. What is the schedule for YPG testing? A #4. Schedule is not known at this time. However, the entire month of Jun 04 should be set aside for planning purposes. I want to draw your attention to Amendment 001 where number and sequence of days needed to support your proposed main canopy are stated . Q #5. As the offerors are expected to provide the first 3 canopies at their own expense, we assume the canopies will remain our property after the initial flight tests. A #5. The canopies supplied by the offeror will remain property of the offeror after technical evaluation at YPG. Q #6. We cannot locate FAR 52.225-18. A #6. Please disregard. Q #7. CLIN 0005 Technical Drawings. What drawings are required? Contractor format? A #7. CLIN 0001, Contractor format Product Level drawings (baseline) and Source Control drawings. CLIN 0002, Level III detailed Drawing Package to the Government for the purposes of provisioning, design evaluation, and cataloguing as per MIL-STD-100. Q #8. CLIN??????s 0001, 0002, 0003. Are canopies only required to be quoted for these CLIN??????s? A #8. Yes. Q #9. To what location are the canopies in CLINs 0001, 0002 and 0003 required to be shipped? A #9. CLIN 0001 Yuma, AZ; CLIN 0002 Ft Bragg, NC; CLIN 0003 TBD. Q #10. CLIN 0006 Repair / Spare Parts. Can the Government provide any guidance on the quantity of spares required A #10. Apply the percentage to quantity in each CLIN; CLIN 0001 at 5 percent; CLIN 0002 at 2 percent, NC; CLIN 0003 at 2 percent. Q #11. Does the 1000 Engineering Hours identified in Amendment 0001 Question response include Award conference and Technical meetings? A #11. Yes. Q # 12. How many technical meetings are envisioned, what types, durations and anticipated locations? What CLIN(s) should they be bid under? A #12. CLIN 0001 = 2, Award/PDR(1 day) and CDR (1 day); CLIN 0002 = 1, CDR (1 day); All meetings to take place at Contractor??????s location. Q #13. There is an option to exercise purchase of rights to the tech data ?????? but nothing with respect to what data is requested, if data is required to be provided upon exercise of CLIN 0007, what data is required to be supplied, and under which CLIN w ould you like that to be bid? A #13. The Government may elect to acquire Unlimited or Government Purpose Rights and/or greater than unlimited rights. Rights are required for re-procurement. Q # 14. Is the Table of Contents required for each volume included in the Page count of the volume? For example, Past Performance volume is restricted to 2 pages. Does Table of Contents consume one of the two pages A #14. The Table of Contents is not part of the page count.
