Description
Red River Army Depot has a requirement to remanufacture M1097 HMMWV engine power packs and power train components. The program for the performance work statement consists of engines and power train components such as engine 6.2 dirty or clean burn or 6.5 detuned, automatic transmissions w/torque converters (3L80), transfers (receive part # 12340073-1 NSN: 2520014528365 type 218 return part # 12342643-1 NSN: 2520014527569 type 242) and differential assemblies (receive as part # 12338415-3 NSN: 25200129 12975 256 gears convert to part # 5597777 NSN: 2520013583160 273 Gears 2 EA).The program requires that these components be inspected, overhauled and tested per the applicable NMWR. Based on our research, it is our best estimate that 90%+ of the vehicles i nducted into the Repair program will have the dirty burn engine, which requires conversion per the NMWR and scope of work. The NMWR's and other information can be viewed at the following website. http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/majorsys/hfr/hfr.htm Go to 'All Technical Manuals' National Maintenance Work Requirements NMWR/nmwr.htm (Attachments 1-5) 6.2 Liter Engine/Conversion NMWR%209-2815-273.pdf (Attachment 2). Estimated annual qty is approximately 400 ea. with an option year for the same estimated qty. This will be a requirem ent type contract and delivery will reflect according to the HMMWV production schedule, which currently requires 50 each engines and drive trains monthly. Delivery is FOB Destination, Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. Request for proposal W91 1RQ04R0017 will issue on or about 29April 2004 and will be available on the RRAD website: https://www.redriver.army.mil/cfexec/opensolicitations2.cfm.
