- Description
- The Pilot Project Zone 1 is located in King County at RM 60 about three miles upstream from Kanaskat-Palmer State Park, and about 4.5 miles downstream from Howard Hanson Dam. The site is a 2,300-foot section of the Green River, located on property o wned by Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU) and aquatic lands and uplands held in trust by the Washington Department of Natural Resources. The site is located in the river reach beginning immediately downstream of the Tacoma Diversion Dam to just downstream of the Tacoma Watershed Office. The first year construction work will include Chinook spawning-type gravel loading (approx. 7,500 tons) and wood placement (Government furnished logs) on an existing engineered log jam in the Green River. Miscellaneous work i ncludes access road bank stabilization and log road removal. Up to four follow-on option years will provide additional Chinook spawning-type gravel loading. All in water work is subject to a specific construction window for protection of fish, generally 1 August through 30 August. All work tasks shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specification package. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $28.5-Million. Project is open to both large and small business. If you are a large business and your proposal will exceed $1 million, you will be required t o submit a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned concerns. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, tak en for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $28.5 million. The solicitation will be available for download on or about April 26, 2004.
