Description: Qualifications: 1. Desired minimum 3 years experience functioning as Cardiac Surgery Physicians Assistant (PA). 2. Graduate from an accredited program for PA certified by CAHEA, certified by the National Commission of Certification of PA, and a gradu ate of an approved Profusion Program and Board Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Profusion. 3. Posses an unrestricted license to practice medicine in one of the 50 United States and/or US territories. 4. Be able to obtain privileges at MAMC through approval of teh Credentials Committee. 5. Prior first assistant operative experience including endoscopic vein harvest and radial artery experience. 6. Be a certified perfusionist and maintain credentials through the contract period. 7. Possess an d maintain certification in BCLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS and PALS. 8. Possess and maintain current DEA registration number. 9. Fluentency in the English language and ability to enunciate with sufficient clarity to effectively communicate with patients and health care providers. 10. Shall not have been convicted of a felony.
