- CBD COMBINED/SYNOPSIS SOLICTATION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This proposed action is for technical support for the Technical Conference on Public Transportation in Abuja, Nigeria to exhibit the International Mass Transportation Program (IMTP) and to display U.S. best practices in public transportation. The conference furthers FTA's strategic goal of economic growth, trade, and mobility by showcasing U.S. technologies. The proposed contractor will be responsible for: Assisting FTA in identifying themes, issues, and objectives that are practical from a Nigerian perspective. Assisting FTA in identifying Nigerian speakers and panelists and coordinating representatives from the Nigerian government sector including relevant representatives from all thirty-six states. Identifying and mobilizing relevant private sector participation. Soliciting additional Nigerian funding to support and reimburse FTA?s operational cost for organizing the conference. Promoting the investment opportunities among solid and well-established groups of financiers and contractors. Coordinating media in Nigeria to attract relevant stakeholders to the conference. Coordinating accommodation and welfare of delegates and participants. Coordinating and managing actual conference proceedings. Managing post-conference issues such as letters of appreciation, conference articles and newspapers, collate conference statistics, and facilitating business meetings and producing a proceedings paper / final report. This Solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for technical support. The conference will take place from July 25, 2004 through July 28, 2004 in Abuja, Nigeria.
