Description

This Sources Sought Market Survey is seeking to identify potential sources to manufacture caps, gray and white, for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. Qyantity of dress white cap is estimated to be 1175 and quantity of uniform gray cap is estimated to be 1020. Actual quantity varies according to cap size. The Government will provide as government furnished materials, gray cloth, buttons, insignia, and gold straps. All items not identified as Government Furnished Material shall be provided by the contractor. At time of award , GFM sufficient to produce first Articles shall be shipped to the contractor, the remaining quantity shall be shipped after First Articles are approved. First Articles are required 20 days after award and will be visu ally inspected for construction, materials (other than GFM, and size. The Government may waive the requirement for First Article if identical or similar items have been previously provided by the contractor and accepted. Delivery is required no later than 30 July 2004. An additional optional quantity of 49 of the Dress White and of the Gray Cap may be ordered. Delivery of optional quantities sahll be no more than 30 days after notification. The purpose of this announcement is to assist the Contracting Of ficer in determining the availability of sources and appropriate set aside, if any. After reviewing the description, companies interested in participating in this requirement are requested to provide email notification of their interest, including their b usiness size and place of manufacture. The applicable NAICS is 315991 and the small business size standard for this requirement is 500 employees. The due date for responses to this sources sought is 13 May 2004.
