Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) Cotton Program has a need for woven polypropylene sample sacks (used for transporting cotton samples).A sample of the sack is required for Government testing and approval with the proposal. Upon approval of the sample and award of a purchase order, delivery shall be FOB Destination to the 11 USDA Offices listed in the Specifications. This procurement will be awarded as a firm fixed price contract. The expected period of performance will be from May 20, 2004 through September 30, 2004. The AMS Cotton Program intends to procure a total of 43,000 woven polypropylene sample sacks.There are approximately 11 shipping locations. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation! Quotations are being requested and WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-12. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: Prompt Payment 52.249-1 (4/84); Changes-Fixed price 52.243-1 (8/87); Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items 52.212-1 (1/04); Evaluation-Commercial Items 52.212-2 (1/99) Offeror Representations and Certifications 52.212-3 (1/04) Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items 52.212-4 (10/03); This is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE.
