- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has a requirement to provide implementation and coding information to new staff in existing funded states and newly awarded states. States will be required to work with a variety of data sources and the workshop will provide strategies for developing a successful working relationship. The National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) is a population-based surveillance system that captures information on violent deaths in participating states. Award shall be made to the lowest quote that meets the governments minimum qualifications and ranks highest in the evaluation criteria. The minimum vendor qualifications for this procurement require that the vendor has: (1) developed a course, manual and materials regarding the use of the National Violent Death Reporting System software. (2) Experience working with and collecting data in a software package designed for violent deaths surveillance. (3) Knowledge and experience working with medical examiner, police, crime lab and vital registrar data. The evaluation criteria is as follows: Technical Approach-15 points-Contractor should provide a discussion of their technical approach for providing the services required for each contract. This criterion will be evaluated according to the soundness, practicality and feasibility of the contractor?s description of the approach for providing the specified services. Staffing and Management-20 pointsContractors are to provide (1)a staffing plan that demonstrates their understanding of the labor requirements for the contract;(2)a management plan that describes their approach for managing the work, to include subcontract management if applicable,(3)names of employees with a proven track record in developing, implementing and evaluating product dissemination strategies. This criterion will be evaluated according to the soundness, practicality and feasibility of the contractor?s staffing and management plan for this contract. Similar Experience-30 pointsProvide information reflecting experience of assigned staff that is similar in complexity and size to the anticipated project. This criterion will be evaluated to determine appropriate experience of assigned personnel. Prior Experience-35 points-Provide information relative to experience of assigned staff in developing indices or measures of the efficacy of training. This criterion will be evaluated to determine appropriate experience of assigned personnel. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. The statement of work, requirements and minimum qualifications are addressed in the Request for Quotations #2004-Q-01298. Request for Quotations #2004-Q-01298 will be issued approximately April 30, 2004 and quotations will be due May 17, 2004. No telephone requests will be accepted.
