Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice ? Project YTPM 94-0058 Repair/Maintain Water Tower, Bldgs. 1311 & 1312. Project consists of removing existing lead based paint, prepare surface and apply coating system on the exterior of the elevated (162 ft) water tank. Work on this project also includes the prepping and repainting of a small wooden structure, repair cracks and seal concrete footings, installation of obstruction lights and miscellaneous electrical repairs. This project is being solicited in acordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The small business size standard applicable to this project is $12,000,000.00 and the NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) Code for this solicitation is 238320. Bid issue will be on or about 26 May 2004 with an anticipated bid opening date of 30 June 2004. Performance period will be one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. All requests to be placed on the bidders list must be done in writing either be letter, fax (413/557-2017) or e-mail, telephone requests will not be honored. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be provided, a CD-ROM disc will be forwarded upon request. The entire solicitation including the bid package, wage rates, specifications and drawings will be posted at this site for review and download and will also be available for examination at the 439 CONF/LGC office, 250 Airlift Drive, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA 01022-1536.*****
