Description
Commercial High Resolution Projector Products In support of Project Manager, Standard Integrated Command Post, US Army Research, Development, Engineering Command (RDECOM), Communication Electronics, Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Command & Control Directore (C2D) is researching commercial display products to satisfy Large Scale Display requirements. Specifically, RDECOM CERDEC C2D is researching High Resolution Projection Systems that meet the following requirements: 1. Viewable from 60 degrees or greater off center. 2. Resolution: Greater than SXGA+ (1400x1050) or 1.31 million-pixel resolution. 3. Each Pixel is independently viewable (if screen is damaged/penetrated, remainder of picture functions). 4. Capable of compensating for keystone effects. 5. Is shade readable. 6. Capable of displaying at 1:100,000 map scale an area of no less than 10,000 square kilometers. 7. The brightness shall be adjustable to at least have 2,500 ANSI rated lumens using one (1) lamp requiring 230 watts or less. The lamp shall be replaceable within five (5) minutes. The lamp shall be rated for 7000 hours (based on failure to operate or 50% of rated luminance). It is anticipated the Army will procure an estimated three (3) projectors per potential vendor for test purposes. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation may not necessarily result from this Request for Information (RFI). Any commen ts provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provid ed to the Government. The Government will not release any information marked with a proprietary legend received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
