Description

The U.S. Army Research, Development, Engineering Command (RDECOM), Communication Electronics, Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Command and Control Directorate (C2D) is conducting a market survey to determine if any commercially available computer software to translate human language text in the following directions is available: English to/from German English to/from French English to/from Spanish English to/from Russian English to/from Modern Standard Arabic English to/from Thai Translation accuracy measured as a post-edit ratio Word Accuracy Rate must be 90% or better for general and military domain text. The software must be server based and run on Windows or Unix (including Solaris or Linux) operating systems. The servers mus t support up to 500 users. Please provide brochures, technical information, etc. on commercially available computer software to translate human language text no later than April 30, 2004 to George Yaeger, AMSRD-CER-C2-SS,Myer Center, Room 3C338A, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation may not necessarily result from this Request for Information (RFI ). Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the info rmation provided to the Government. The Government will not release any information marked with a proprietary legend received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance wi th the legend.
