Description
Furnish two (2) unwatering pumps, discharge spool pieces and associated hardware for a complete pump installation by the Government. Includes all expenses to design, manufacture, and deliver pumps and motors, drawings and operation manual to Bonnevi lle Dam; and all expenses to design, manufacture, and deliver new discharge spool pieces and drawings to Bonneville Dam. Supply and delivery is located at Bonneville Lock and Dam, Portland District, US Army Corps of Engineers, Cascade Locks, Oregon. The pumps and motors provided shall be of the immersible type, capable of occasional submergence of up to 65 feet. The pumps shall be supplied with mating, cast iron, supply and discharge connections and be capable of delivering a minimum of 5000 US GPM at a total dynamic head of 115 feet. The pump shall also be capable of delivering a minimum of 7000 US GPM at 80 feet of head. The pump efficiency shall be no less than 71% at 115 feet of head. Shut off head for the pump shall be no less than 180 feet of hea d. The motor shall be direct coupled or an integral part of the unit and be connected for operation on a 480 volts, phase, 60 hertz electrical supply service. The media to be pumped is raw river water with a normal temperature range of 40-70 degrees F, s pecific gravity of 1.000-0.998, and viscosity of 1.5-1.000 cp. Pump curves for the proposed pumps shall be submitted with the quote. Issuance of this solicitation is on or about 22 April 2004 and due on or about 12 May 2004. This procurement is 100% set -aside for small businesses. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Depart ment of Defense, US Army Corps of Engineers, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at http://www.ccr.gov.
