Description

DESC: TRAIL RECONSTRUCTION The Colville National Forest requires Trail Reconstruction services on approximately 12 miles on the Three Rivers Ranger District. The projects are located in Stevens County, Washington State. There will be two bid items on this solicitation. CLIN Item 1, Little Pend Oreille ORV Trail Number 142: This project is for trail restoration and relocation of 7.094 miles or 11.41 kilometers. The trail is open to hiker, horse, mountain bikes and motorcycles. Motorized and mechanical equipment may be used for access to the work site and for the restoration and relocation of the trail. The purpose of the contract for this item is to install approximately 6.09 meters of 3.04.8 mm diameter corrugated polyethylene pipe, 63.09 meters of turnpike with log retainers, 57.6 meters ditch, 6.09 meters of lead off ditch, 1 rubber belted water bar, 22.55 meters trail relocation and 11331.24 meters of trail restoration, tread width 609 mm. CLIN Item 1, Little Pend Oreille ORV Trail Number 142 is located on the Three Rivers Ranger District, Colville National Forest. To reach the project from Colville Washington, travel east on State Highway 20 for 25 miles (Little Pend Orielle Lakes) just past Thomas Lake to Forest Road Number 2712 travel south for 2.5 miles. Project begins at trail crossing on east side of road. Project is flagged in dayglow orange. CLIN Item 2, Little Pend Oreille ORV Trail Number 144 and 142. This project is for trail restoration of 3.71 miles or 5.97 kilometers. The trail is open to hiker, horse, mountain bikes and motorcycles. Motorized and mechanical equipment may be used for access to the work site and for the restoration of the trail. The purpose of the contract for this item is to reconstruct 5973.16 meters of trail, tread width 609 mm. CLIN Item 2, Little Rend Oreille ORV Trail Number 144 and 142 is also located on the Three Rivers Ranger District, Colville National Forest. To reach the project from Colville Washington, travel east on State Highway 20 for 25 miles (Little Pend Orielle Lakes) just past Thomas Lake to Forest Road Number 2712 travel south for 2 miles. Project begins at trail crossing on east side of road. Project is flagged in dayglow orange. The Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, supplies (except those designated as Government-Furnished), labor, supervision, workman?s compensation, unemployment insurance, transportation, and incidentals to perform all work necessary to accomplish the trail reconstruction. This project will be advertised as a written quotation and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP) rules. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about May 10, 2004. Quotes are estimated to be due June 1, 2004. Estimated start work date is on or about June 15, 2004. All work shall be completed by July 31, 2005. The trail is normally accessible by May 15th. Seasonal shutdowns are to be expected. An Alternate Payment Protection (payment bond) will be required upon award. The project will be procured on an unrestricted basis. NAICS code is 237990. The estimated price range is $25,000 to $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
