Description

Sources Sought. The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to purchase 50 each Limiter, Passive, P/O Receiver Protector 2A3, Atlantic Microwave Corp., Part Number AMC 1164, NSN: 5895-01-400-3043, ASN: R400-2A3A1. This item is being purchased for the National Weather Service (NWS) to be delivered to the National Logistics Support Center, Kansas City, MO. The only approved source of supply known for this part is Atlantic Microwave Corp, Bolton, MA. These parts are in support of the current NEXRAD program, alternative or like items are not acceptable. The intended acquisition is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. Any small business source able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 days after its publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified equipment. Also, include the name, telephone number, and point of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided the item. The information should be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to (816) 426-5067, attn: Jackie Shewmaker. Failure to provide the required information will deem your request non-responsive. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation is available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice. The NAICS code is 334419. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business.
