Description
QUESTIONS FOR CONTRACTORS PROVIDING THE SERVICE Market research is being conducted to determine commercial industry practices for Oil and Water Separator services. The purpose of this is to determine whether or not these services are provided by and to commercial entities and what their business practices are. The Government is trying to tailor its requirements and adopt commercial practices. This is not a request for a proposal this is only a request for information. Can you provide the following services? Sewer line cleaning Testing and analysis of oil water separators and sand traps Septic tank pumping Grease traps Waste transportation and disposal Video troubleshooting/analysis What local, state, or federal regulations govern these services? Are there published industry standards for the performance of these services? If so, where can I get a copy? Are there special permits or licenses required to perform these services? What is the normal response time for requests for emergency service, i.e. oil/water separator service lines are clogged, sewage/septic tanks are at risk of overflowing? Is there a commercial standard time frequency for the following ? Sewer line cleaning Sampling and testing of oil/water separators for corrisitivity; reactivity sulfide; reactivity cyanide; concentration of arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, selenium, and silver; metals preparation; and toxicity characteristic leaching processes (TCLP) analysis for heavy metals and volatile organic compounds Analyzing separators for the flash point of oil, grease, and surfactant levels Checking separators for oil, water, sludge and explosive levels Who are your customers? May I have their names and phone numbers? What type of financial arrangement with your customers do you have? How is your pricing structured for these services, i.e. monthly, per test, per tank pumped? Sewer line cleaning Testing and analysis of oil water separators and sand traps Septic tank pumping Grease traps Waste transportation and disposal What type of Quality Control measures do you take to ensure compliance with the contract and local, state, and federal regulation? If you have a written plan, may I have a copy? How does your customer monitor your performance? What remedies are in place when performance is found unacceptable? Would you send me a copy of solicitations you?ve received? Would you send me a copy of one or more of your contracts? Are you a small business, woman-owned business, small-disadvantaged business, or large business?
