Description

The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervisions and other items and services necessary to perform packing and crating of household goods at Yokosuka Naval Base and Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan, and their respective suburbs during the period of 1 Jan 05 through 31 Dec 05 with four (4) one-year option periods. This service includes but is not limited to packing, containerization and local drayage of household goods for inbound, outbound, intra-city and intra-area services as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The due date for responding to the market research questionnaire is 30 Apr 04. Separate solicitations will be issued for Yokosuka Naval Base and Marine Corps Air Station. The solicitations are not restricted. The approximate issue date for the final solicitation is 3 Sep 04. The solicitation will be available on this web site and will be issued to all firms who respond in writing to this synopsis. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer represents the best value to the U.S. Government considering the evaluation factors stated in the solicitation. NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM THE SERVICE IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.
