- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, (NAWCWPNSDIV) Point Mugu, CA intends to procure a firm fixed price contract for the purpose of designing and manufacturing one each Waveform Modulation Generator (WMG). The WMG is intended for the NAVAIR Electronic Combat Simulation and Evaluation Laboratory (ECSEL) located at NAWCWPNSDIV. The WMG will be applied to supplement existing RF source(s) of current Navy RF signal generators to produce higher fidelity details to meet requirements of new generations of digital receivers for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems as well as waveform generation capability architected for the purpose of advanced signal generation in electronic warfare testing. The WMG will be used in two basic configurations. The first is a standalone configuration in which the WMG will operate as an independent signal generator with outputs determined by the interfaces defined in the basic line items of the performance specification. The second configuration is one in which the WMG will be integrated with existing RF signal generators by means of an interface and additional equipment as defined in the Performance Specification to produce multiple low duty cycle signals in the 2GHz t 18GHz frequency range. The WMG will provide the signals on commands from the digital interface defined in the performance specification. Size, dimensions description: 19-inch rack mountable equipment, Rack bay vertical height not to exceed 7 feet. Depth of rack bay not to exceed 36 inches. Delivery of the WMG shall be 12 months ARO, FOB destination. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be issued on or about 05 May 2004 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home pages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm.
