Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is requesting quotes from vendors for Fluorescence Spectrophotometer capable of measuring fluorescence spectra and color space parameters from the security thread in US currency of $5 denomination and higher in accordance with the attached specifications. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis notice and constitutes the only solicitation/written request for quotation that will be issued. This acquisition is set-aside for small business (see number note 1). The request for quotes number is (RFQ-04-0467). Delivery terms are F.O.B destination to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, D Street between 13th & 14th Streets S.W. Washington, D.C. 20228. The resulting Purchase Order shall be firm fixed price. Award shall be made on the basis of price alone. All interested businesses are to submit a written quotation, which will consider by the agency. Quotes shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discounts, company name, points of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number and size status (i.e. small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business). Quotation may be made on a SF 1449 or company letterhead. Quotations are due on April 30, 2004 by 2:30 p.m. local time.
