The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate the following clauses, answer the following question and extend the closing date from: 25 Apr 04 to: 26 Apr 04: FAR 19.1307 PRICE EVALUATION PREFERENCE FOR HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS FAR 52.219-4 NOTICE OF PRICE EVALUATION FOR HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS FAR 52.219-6 NOTICE OF TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE Question: Will the 15 systems be installed in one location or distributed? Do you want one Designer package and 15 production packages? Or Designer and production packages for each of the 15 systems? Answer: The 15 systems can be delivered to one location; we will bring them to separate locations. Question: I understand you need 10,000 cards for each of the 15 systems, right? Answer: We need 10,000 cards per system. Question: Do you want us to quote the plastic cards: If so, do you want pre-printed cards with some security features or blank white cards? Answer: We want the blank white plastic cards. Question: Our Company is registered and active in CCR; however we are not on any GSA schedule. Can we still bid for the job: Answer: Yes, you may still bid on the job. Question: Is the intention to use the systems in a disconnected fashion (hence the requirement for Access database support) and then periodically synchronize the data from the remote sites into a centralized database: Answer: Yes. Initially there will be no internet access (until installed) Question: Is this database currently available: What is it? Answer: Yes. MS Office XP (MS Access) Question: Would you accept a turnkey solution, including hardware, sw, and consumables: Answer: Yes we would accept that if you would come up with the system. Question: In the amendment, you indicated the ?Contractor should send a technical person to the palace with the first shipment to set up and train our people on the use of this system.? Is this a requirement or a preference? Answer: Yes it is a requirement because?we want trained people working on the machines. Unless there is another way to do this with guaranteed or equal results. Question: Please keep in mind that we have a full training facility and training staff about 2-1/2 hours from Washington, DC. US government personnel have and continue to come here for training before they go overseas. We also would travel to Washington, DC in order to train your staff. Answer: Not Applicable to our situation Question: Please also let me know if you would like to purchase 15 computers (for each software package) so that I may include that in my quote for you or are you planning to provide your own computers: If you would need us to supply computers, would you need desktop or laptop units: Answer: Contractor will supply desktop computers.
