Description

Construct 1 dike with a water level control structure, 2 dikes, 2 scapes, shaping borrow areas to 8:1 or flatter side slopes, spreading spoil, top soiling dikes and spoil disposal areas, and seeding dikes, spillways and uplands to cool season grass mixture as specified in the plans and specifications. Project work will restore wetland conditions and enhance habitat of a wetland restoration program site in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. Major items of work include approximately 1,096 cu yds of topsoil stripping and stockpiling, 7,442 cu yds of excavation, 6,331 cu yds of earth fill in dikes, 1,111 cu yds of excess spoil spreading, 1,096 cu yds of topsoil spreading on dikes and borrow areas, installing a water level control structure and seeding of 1.8 acres of dikes and spillways and 20 acres of upland. Performance time including mobilization is 15 workdays. Earthwork must begin prior to June 14, 2004 and be completed by August 16, 2004. Seeding of dikes, spillways, and uplands shall be completed by August 20, 2004. Interested parties can attend a site showing on May 11, 2004. The site showing will begin at 9:30 AM- 12:00 at the Chippewa County NRCS Service Center at 1160 Weatheridge, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. For directions call (715) 720-9083 x 27.
