Description
SF 254 and SF 255 Applications are invited from engineering firms to provide professional services for design services and construction period services for the structural addition to Building 34 at the Seattle Division of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Primary design scope will be the addition of approximately 1,000 GSF to the first floor and a new second floor addition of 11,000 GSF. The design use for the new and renovated space will be for medical laboratory research. Design work will include two exit stairwells and the installation of an elevator in an existing designated space. The project scope will also include renovation of approximately 1,000 GSF of existing space on the first floor. Design disciplines will include civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural interiors. The A/E contractor must provide bid-ready design documents 217 calendar days after A/E contract award. The A/E contractor will be responsible for the proper preparation of CALS format drawings for inclusion the digital Web site at the Federal Governments Business Opportunities System website. Evaluation and selection will be based on qualifications stated under CBD Numbered Note 24. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the credentials of the firm and assigned staff to support the study scope. Special emphasis will be placed on the qualifications and selection of firms design capabilities of firms with previous experience in lab design, building addition and renovation of existing hospital facilities. The cost range for construction is $3.5 Million. Award of this project is subject to the availability of funds. The applicable NAICS code is 541310. This is not a Request for Proposal.
