- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a cost-plus-fixed-fee order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-G-0004 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 62166-0516, to provide enhancements to the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) map modes Expand 4, and 5 in the F/A-18 aircraft equipped with the APG-73 Fire Control Radar set. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft, and is the only known firm possessing adequate existing knowledge, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment to provide the engineering support required to perform the required effort.
