Description

The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has a requirement for an Animal Waste Storage (AWS) Facility located near Fairbanks, Alaska. This project will be located on a privately owned swine enterprise approximately 30 miles east of the town of Fairbanks, Alaska. Prospective contractors must be a certified professional engineer in the State of Alaska. This project falls under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541330. The magnitude of this requirement is estimated to be less than $100,000. The solicitation will be available on or about April 16, 2004 and can be downloaded from this site. Any resultant award will be based on selection criteria ranked in the following order of importance: 1) Professional qualifications; 2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; 3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time frame; 4) Past performance in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules; 5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. A&E firms interested in providing this service will be required to submit four copies of completed Standard Forms 254 and 255 to the contracting officer at the Natural Resources Conservation Service, 430 ?G? Street, Suite 4165 Davis, California 95616. A minimum of three of the most highly qualified firms will be selected for discussions. The most qualified firm will be asked to provide a cost proposal based on the performance of the functions described in the solicitation. All questions must be directed to the Contracting Officer, Cassie Storms in writing by e-mail at cassie.storms@ca.usda.gov. No questions will be accepted by telephone. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals will be May 10, 2004, 2:00 p.m. Alaska time. Anticipated award date is May 18, 2004. .
