Description

AMENDMENT TO ADD THE FOLLOWING: 1)All tapes must include barcode labels applied to each tape. Label sequence beginning with 004360L1. 2)Russ Bassett Gemtrac LTO Rack Part Number GD90-5.5-13-29, 81"H. Pricing must include shipping & delivery of tapes and rack, installation of rack. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Forecast Systems Laboratory (FSL) has a requirement for the following : 1) Fujifilm LTO Ultrium 1 tape media - Quantity of 2000; 2) Russ Bassett Gemtrac LTO Rack to shelve the tapes, 120"W x H x 30.25 D with a 42" aisle. FSL operates a Mass Storage System (MSS) and the configuration is an ADIC AML/J Tape Robotic Library IBM LTO drives that use Fujifilm Ultrium LTO 1 tape media. FSL currently has a service agreement in place with ADIC for MSS hardware and software support. ADIC strongly recommends using Fujifilm media with their libraries. In addition, IBM also recommends Fujifilm tape media be used with their LTO Drives per web site: http://www-06.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4DRM86. In accordance with FSL's ADIC service agreement and both manufacturer's recommendations, it is in the best interest of the Government to continue using Fujifilm Ultrium LTO 1 media. Interested sources must submit a proposal by close of business May 6, 2004. Proposals submitted must clearly establish the capability to meet the above requirement. This requirement is set-aside for small business. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Items.
