- This acquisition is for a firm-fixed price contract to Improve Force Protection, Ramp Lighting, Phase I The scope of work includes, but is not limited to removing existing 60 foot high; wooden light poles along with existing pole mounted flood light located adjacent to eight buildings. Install 80 foot high light poles with high pressure sodium lights at the eight buildings. Contractor will be required to take soil samples at each location and test for contamination. Contamination will be a differing site condition. Project will be completed in two phases and contractor will be required to aim each new high-pressure sodium light at the aircraft parking area for optimum illumination level. The solicitation is issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is unrestricted. The magnitude of the acquisition is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification is 238210, and small business size standard is $12,000,000. The contractor must be licensed by the State of California in the appropriate classification. A bid bond is required. The sealed bid will be awarded without discussion to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and price-related factors. This solicitation will be issued electronically on or 26 April 2004, on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov, with a proposal receipt date on or about 15 June 2004. Paper copies will not be available. After the solicitation is posted, interested parties are encouraged to register on the ?Register as Interested Vendor? listing and cautioned to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments. NOTE: All prospective contractors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may take up to three weeks to complete, so we recommend immediate attention to ensure eligibility. For registration, go to http://www.ccr.gov and follow the instructions. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held on 13 May 2004, at 10:00 a.m. interested parties will be escorted from the gate to the job site. Potential offerors planning to attend the pre-proposal conference are requested to submit the company name and the name(s) of the representative to the individual listed below after the procurement package has been downloaded.
