Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written (paper/hard copy) solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for Quotes for Solicitation FA4659-04-Q-0006. The 319th Contracting Squadron at Grand Forks AFB, ND intends to award a purchase order for the replacement of 4 hoists as described in the statement of work below. This acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and will be based on competitive quotes. Applicable NAICS is 238290 under the designated industry groups (DIGS) and as such this acquisition is unrestricted in accordance with FAR 19.1001. The following provisions and clauses can be viewed through Internet access at the Air Force FAR Site. Web address is http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror's -- Commercial, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offeror's must include with their quotation a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial items (April 2002) and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certification, Commercial Items (Nov 1995). In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, prior to receiving any contract award, contractors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR database at the web site http://www.ccr.gov. Fax quotations/proposals to 701-747-4215, Attention: Steven Cliche, or electronically to steven.cliche@grandforks.af.mil Quotation/proposals must be received no later than noon (12:00 p.m. CST) on Friday, 7 May 2004. (((Statement of Work:))) Contractor will be responsible for all parts, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to replace 4 hoists in Building 601 and 603 as described below. 1. Dismantle 4 hoists, trolley assemblies, and pendant stations (2 in each hanger), remove and dispose of in accordance with local disposal laws with no additional cost to the government. Existing rails will remain and be re-used. 2. Inspect existing rails and update as required to current standards. Furnish and install 4 new Detroit DL-Series model #DL10M25-14M60 or equal 5-ton capacity hoist and trolley assemblies to replace the removed units. Furnish and install 4 PPS Series Pendant Stations or equal that are 4 button two speed switches (one for each hoist). 3. Perform initial weight check and testing in accordance with manufacturers owners manual. Provide all manufacturers literature to 319 MXS. 4. All on-site work must be completed within 5 days. Work to be completed is in a secure area; all personnel requiring entry must have in their possession current photo identification. 5. Furnish required electrical supplies to rewire the hoist's electrical power circuit, bypassing the step-down unit increasing the power supply to 460 volts from 416 volts. 6. All electrical work must be performed by a certified electrician. Removal and installation of components must be performed by workers who are competent and knowledgeable of the equipment they are working on. 7. A site visit is required and will be done for all interested parties on 30 Apr 04 at 1:00PM; all interested parties must provide name and date of birth of all those that will be attending the site visit to SRA Cliche no later than 27 Apr 04. Representatives from MXS, contracting, and a CE electrician will be present to answer any questions you may have.
