Description

Solicitation Number N00421-04-T-0137 is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Special Communications Requirements Division, St. Indigoes, MD 20684-0010, has a requirement for ?brand name mandatory? KONTRON AMERICA products. Simplified procedures as described in FAR 13.5 will be utilized for acquisition of the required items. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 423430, ?Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers? with a size standard of 500 employees. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price Purchase Order on a ?brand name mandatory? basis for the Kontron America products listed below under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Kontron America, located at 6260 Sequence Dr., San Diego, CA 92121, is the sole manufacturer of the required items that are compatible with existing program equipment and will satisfy the Government?s minimum requirement for intended application. The contract line item numbers (CLINs) and descriptions for this ?brand name mandatory? procurement are: ** CLIN 0001 P/N: (45K) RPD ?1151-BLK 15? LCD Monitor with Cherry Keyboard, Trackball - (Qty of 14 EA); CLIN 0002 P/N: RPD-1158-BLK 15? Monitor with Cherry Keyboard, Trackball, 8 Port KVM and 1 Standard KVM - (Qty of 26 EA); CLIN 0003 P/N: 2L1601P 6? KVM Cable (Qty of 27 EA); CLIN 0004 P/N: 2L1603P 10? KVM Cable ? (Qty of 45 EA); CLIN 0005 P/N: 2L1605P 15? KVM Cable - (Qty of 4 EA); CLIN 0006 SHIPPING ? (Qty of 1 LO). ** THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES FOR ITEMS OTHER THAN THE BRAND NAME KONTRON AMERICA EQUIPMENT LISTED IN THIS SYNOPSIS.** The Government will accept quotes from all responsible sources with the capability to provide the brand name products cited above and will award a Purchase Order resulting from this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. Quote is due to Rosa Harding, Contract Specialist, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Building 8110, Unit 11,Villa Road, St. Ingioes, MD 20684-0010 by 3:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, 6 May 2004. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a Brand Name Mandatory basis based upon the responses received.
