Description
The GSA National Furniture Center is SEEKING TO IDENTIFY SOURCES for SHIPBOARD FURNITURE, COPIERS AND ACCESSORIES designed or suitable for use on Government ships that are currently under a GSA Multiple Award Schedule Contract. The National Furniture Center proposes to highlight approved shipboard products in our on-line system ? GSAAdvantage!?. We plan to accomplish this by using a special icon to identify approved shipboard products. All furniture items and copiers shall be products that are listed in or approved for listing in the U.S. Navy Shipboard Furniture Catalog and are currently under a GSA Schedule Contract. Proof of listing or approval shall be provided in writing to be considered. To achieve approval and listing, products shall be evaluated by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division to the standards established for shipboard products. For information on standards and requirements contact the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Naval Business Center Habitability Section, Code 9783, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19112-5083, Attn: Robert Vasinda, Phone: 215-897-7654, e-mail: VasindaRJ@nswccd.navy.mil. Types of furniture and accessories include seating, berths, office, copiers, worksurfaces, floor coverings, storage, dining and other furniture units for use in all ship areas. Unless otherwise indicated by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, costs associated with submission and evaluation of products by the Navy will be borne by the vendor. Contract items that are approved for shipboard use may be identified in GSA Advantage!?, the National Furniture Center?s website and contractor?s schedule price list. Interested contractors should contact the points of contact for more information. Points of contact: Thomas E. Murray, Contract Specialist, phone 703-305-6016, Email Thomas.Murray@gsa.gov.
