Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice only. GSA/FTS Rocky Mountain Region 8 is requesting a statement of capabilities from Federal Supply Schedule 70 (SIN 132-51) holders who can successfully perform the requirement listed below. This will be a performance based contracting effort. The solicitation will be posted through GSA?s E-Buy solicitation tool. Estimated RFP posting is approximately May 17, 2004. The Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) provides spaced-based infrared missile warning, missile defense, battle space characterization and technical intelligence capability for the National Command Authority, North American Air Defense Command, and US Strategic Command. The SBIRS system consists of mission control station, interim mission control station-backup, survivable mission control station and worldwide relay ground stations. Mission critical information is exchanged between the mission control stations and the relay ground stations via commercially provided communication lines. The requirements of this project are to provide sustainment support of the operational Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) assets. A support contractor is needed to assist the SBIRS System Support Manager (SSM) Division in sustaining the operational performance of SBIRS field units. Top secret/sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) and secret security clearances are required to support this requirement. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, providing on-site hardware maintenance and support, system certification support, DSP legacy software maintenance and support, consolidated maintenance control, mission studies and analysis, system hardware-software modifications, and mission event analysis. All responses must be in writing and contain sufficient information for GSA to determine your firm's qualifications to provide the required service. A solicitation document does not exist at this time. No written or telephone requests for a solicitation will be accepted.
