- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 03 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR NULL OPTICS FOR ASPHERIC MIRRORS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s)in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ. The purpose of this amendment is to post the information obtained when NASA/MSFC received the following question from a potential vendor in reference to the solicitation listed above and to provide the answer provided by the NASA/MSFC technical point of contact. QUESTION: "The original files posted on the website were in Code V format. These files had information regarding the tolerancing information for the optics to be manufactured. The Zemax format was requested and sent to the vendor; however, when the Zemax format files were opened, there was no tolerancing information specified in the Zemax file." The vendor requested the tolerancing information in Zemax format. ANSWER/REPLY: The tolerancing that is generated by the Code V software is not transported when converted to Zemax format, and therefore, NASA/MSFC does not have the tolerancing in the Zemax format. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. The date April 30, 2004, remains as previously stated. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on April 06, 2004. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
