Description
The No Child Left Behind Act requires states to develop plans to ensure that all teachers of core academic subjects are highly qualified by the end of the 2005-06 school year. The U. S. Department of Education is soliciting the advice of experts on teacher preparation and evaluation to design a study of teacher preparation programs. The period of performance for this contract shall be 14 weeks. The RFP ED-04-Q-0010 will be issued on or about April 23, 2004. The estimated closing date is May 10, 2004. Requests for copies of the RFP may be made by telephone, mail, e-mail, telegram or in person. All requests shall reference RFP ED-04-Q-0010 and the title of the RFP. The RFP can also be found on the Internet on or about the RFP issue date at www.fedbizopps.gov. Telephone requests may only be placed by calling (202) 708-8572. E-mail requests must be sent to zilphia.wright@ed.gov. Mail or telegram requests shall be sent to the above address. Copies may be picked up in person on the issue date at the same address. Because of tightened security, offerors cannot enter the building on their own. To pick up a copy of the RFP or to drop off proposals, offerors shall go to the D Street exit and have the guard call (202) 708-8l9l and ask to sign the offeror in, in order to deliver the proposals. The proposal will be stamped with the time and date of arrival.
