- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance wih FAR part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), F1GPL141070100. This document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through FAC 2001-20 effective 23 Feb 04. This is being considered as a 100% total small business set-aside. The NAICS is 332420 and the Small Business Size standard is 500 employees. The contractor shall provide a high pressure autoclave vessel with a customer plunger and 10 gold silver plated sealing gaskets for use with autoclave vessel. The vessel will be used for the purpose of 1? GaN wafer production at the Air Force Research Laboratory. The specifications are as follows: 1) The high pressure autoclave must be made of super strength Nickel based alloy-must be minimum 50% Nickel, preferably Rene-41 alloy. 2) All contact areas including sealing plunger must be made of nickel alloy above(except for seal gasket/washer if autoclave has a Bridgman seal. 3) Seal gaskets can be copper or gold plated silver. 4) Plunger or seal must have at least 0.075? opening for pressure monitoring. 5) Vessel must be able to be run at 550 degrees Celsius and 40,000 psi simultaneously for 10,000 hours. 6) Seal temperature rated at minimum 250 degrees Celsius and 40,000 psi. 7) Vessel must be guaranteed resistant against supercritical ammonia without any liners. 8) Vessel must be minimum 1.25? inside diameter (bore). 9) Vessel must be minimum 10? body depth (bore length). 10) Vessel must be able to hold minimum 250 CC volume. The following clauses and provisions apply to this procurement: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items (Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer is considered to be most advantageous to the government and meets all the requirements, lowest price considered; FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (offerors shall include a completed copy of this provision with their quotation); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues of Executive Orders-Commercial Items (in paragraph (b) the following clauses apply 52.219-6, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-36, 52.225-13, 52.232-33, DFARS 252.204-7004, 252.225-7002 and under 252.212-7001, the following clause applies: 252-225-7001.
